Tal Brushel

Photographer and Creative Direction Tel Aviv, Israel

From an early age, Tal was fond of music, drawing, and sculpture until he discovered photography. His first camera was a simple point-and-shoot given to him by his father during their trip to Kenya and Morocco. It was his first foray into taking photos. The idea of being able to capture moments in a frame was both fascinating and inspiring, and Tal began his journey of immersion in the study of photography.

As a self-taught artist, I enjoy the process of creating something new. Over time, I learned to look at the world more broadly and appreciate the beauty and aesthetics in almost everything around me. Before I take any photo or start working on a project with a designer or artist, I must feel connected to an idea deep within myself. I believe that first, we sense the frame with the soul and then notice it with our eyes.

Perhaps, because of my somewhat spiritual mindset, I want to allow myself to dive more and more into the unknown. I like to be surprised and challenged. My passion for creativity often involves adventure and travel, which accompanies my work. I believe in the simplicity of lifestyle in the here and now and find my answers mostly in nature.

In addition to working with clients, I have been working on my first book for the past two years. It is a documentary project about a fisherman and his lifestyle. I am also working on documenting the relationship between my wife and daughter. Being a father, I realized how pure we are born and how much we change over the years. This experience helped me act out of my gut instinct.
