Shaina Ehrlich, based in New York, USA, is a makeup artist whose journey began by working with a wig and makeup designer for Broadway and Off-Broadway shows—a person who happened to be a close friend of her grandmother, an actor. She later ventured into film and television, contributing to several feature films. Transitioning into the fashion industry, she began working as an assistant, eventually signed by an agency in 2020. Now, she is working with her current agency in New York, Kramer + Kramer.

Depending on the project, I try to gauge who the talent is—learning about their preferences, likes, dislikes, and comfort levels. It's a collaborative process for me. If someone wants to try a certain look, I am always happy to work on creating a look together. I would say my style of work is on the more editorial side, as I love to paint people different colors, but I also love a clean beauty moment as well.

I am looking to create a safe space to collaborate and connect with people. I love connecting with other artists, as it is very important to feel like you are part of a community, especially in an industry that isn't easy to navigate.
