Ayana is a Paris based makeup artist who was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. In 2016, she moved to New York to pursue her passion. Ayana works as a makeup team member for Peter Philips, one of the legendary makeup artists and creative and image directors of Dior Beauty. In addition to her work with Philips, Ayana also pursues her editorial, fashion, commercial shoots, and personal projects.

Ayana's creative style places great emphasis on texture as a vital element of her work. She firmly believes that texture can convey emotions just as powerfully as color. Her approach to makeup is not limited to the face but extends to the entire image captured in a photograph. As a result, her technique can be subtle, gentle, or even dynamic, depending on what best complements the overall picture.

My aim as an artist is to create timeless beauty. Through my work as a makeup artist, I seek to reveal the hidden beauty in small, simple things. For me, beauty is not about exaggeration but about uncovering something special in each person.
